According to the Kenya daily nation newspaper today, at least eight counties have been forced to shut down operations due to the surge in coronavirus infections. Around 70 learners, tutors and support staff, from various schools are in isolation after testing positive for the virus, and dozens of schools have asked their children to stay home. The country is experiencing a second wave of the virus and this time the rate of infection is three times more than the first time and the deaths are also increasing alarmingly.
It has been a lot of bad news lately and we are worried that the country will be under lockdown again very soon. Due to all this Pastor Stanley and Tr. Alice held a special lunch for the children that included pilau rice, cake and juice and the children also got to sing and dance in the later part of the afternoon. This was done to motivate them and lift their spirits so they can stay motivated in their studies and stay in school despite all that is going around them.
Thank you our partners and friends for your support, love and care you continue to show the children of Spring Valley. It is truly not in vain and we see the Lord transforming their lives each and every day. May the almighty continue to bless and watch over each one of you especially during this difficult times in the world.
