Joshua project

Pastor Stanley and Teacher Alice have not in all this forgotten that the girls in the Talitha Khoum dorms have little brothers who attend Spring Valley Baptist School but still go home to face worse dangers and challenges than the girls faced. Some of the challenges the young boys of Spring Valley Baptist School are facing are; physical abuse from step-fathers/mothers boyfriends, because most of the women in Spring Valley are single mothers who remarry or change boyfriends often, homelessness for the ones that are orphans, some are used as child labor by their unwanted relatives, most are tempted to join gangs, crime and terrorist groups due to poverty, and all of them are suffering from low self- esteem. With God’s help and the help of our partners and friends Spring Valley Baptist is hoping to open the Joshua project for the boys. These will be similar dorms to the girls offering a safe haven to the boys and will improve the quality of their lives. Construction of the boys’ dorms has begun already and is almost complete but unfortunately the dorms still lack essential things like beds, mattresses, lockers and funds to cater for the daily needs of the forty boys who will be rescued.
